The pressures to understand love these days have gone from our grandparents holding hands and never questioning why— to 14,140,000,000 searches on google. Something that huge, and have we come any closer to understanding the depths of love? Yes and no! But you must give us credit, we humans keep trying.
Would you agree that love is complicated because it affects every aspect of our lives? It’s not a cut and dry vegetable with a measured vitamin pool. It’s as complexed as anyone’s imagination might go. The combinations of traumas and life events alone can produce millions of combinations in each of us that trigger emotional issues that cause us to react—positive or negative towards love.
But regardless that love can be the most miserable and painful experience anyone might face, the fact it’s life’s most exciting adventure makes the risk of being plummeted in the lover’s volcano, worth it. And the brave ones, they crawl out of the hot coals tears and all— getting right back on the adventure because the prize is worth the skin off your feet to get there.

Love’s biggest enemy
In all fairness, it appears that love’s biggest enemy is life. And this is one of the reasons to advocate prioritizing your life, as love in its unpredictable trait, cannot as easily be lost when your life is prioritized. Just remember, prioritizing is not optimizing, or perfecting, it’s knowing how to control that one thing that stops you.

Love knows it never ends, but life knows differently.
I want to love you,
like rain on dry ground.
Just let it all unearth.
To feel peace after tremors of darkness that invade a heart.
To be without you?
Few would believe it,
the silence comes with endless pain that changed me, gave me, held me underwater where no breath was about.
Yet, I do not want you in my life,
but I will love you all my life.
Life knows that not all love is right, and the heart holds its love forever. Why do you think it’s so easy to make mistakes with that person you don’t want to be with that is not good for you— love in you doesn’t part. Let life lead you; you’re not always smart with the heart. But you can protect your love by living a better life and in that effort you might just find the right love.

Romantic love and life.
Since man has been falling in love all the way back to the caveman days of “I love her skins” it has never changed. Love is unreliable, but life is somewhat predictable by the hand of science. If you examine your life, have a long talk with it, organize it, envision it a year from now, five years from now, and really think it out, you will get to know and understand yourself better. The problem is, who wants to work for it when fairytales are on every corner. Prioritizing yourself also means teaching yourself to work for love.
It makes no difference if you’re single, married, dating, or on the moon, stopping and learning how to prioritize yourself is the best thing that will ever happen to you and those you love the most. It’s educating yourself to the thing that love needs most, life.
When you understand yourself, it’s easier to plan what’s right for your life and love.
Does it make sense, that education enhances life? Love is the greatest thing in this universe besides the life that is tangible. Love needs life. So think of yourself as love, what do you need? Life. Love needs life. That means self-care. Without self-care, you have no life.

I’ve got a crush on you.
Remember, as kids, when we fell in love. We were 11-years-old’s having fantasies. The cute little notes, “do you love me, yes or no?” Now we’re all grown up and chained to our baggage. Our fantasies are under lock and key, lest we leave ourselves vulnerable to get hurt by living life!
Ah, but wait, in all fairness, it’s a real nightmare out there. Can you imagine in your adult age, putting yourself out there to discover a day later on social media—you are the century’s joke? No fun, but it doesn’t change the fact: life is being a kid and having a crush on you. Love is letting that crush occupy your waking thoughts, and life is what gets you through the ups and downs. Prioritize your life and you’re in control of how you manage the ups and downs.

Heartbreak hotel.
We’ve all been to heartbreak hotel, crying on our pillows and wondering why life has left us. Some of us have been there often. What’s the difference between those who go there often and those who checked in once? Often has a chance of finding real love, and the one-time-wonder grows oddly narrow as the decades pass. Life is movement, love is heartbreak. Moving on is letting life drags the heart to a better place. A place where the two can try again.
Are you searching for a soulmate or that fairytale love?
We’ve all heard the saying that “you can’t love another before you love yourself.” While this is generally accepted, I’ve met few people who get the full scope of it. And I’ll be honest, I don’t totally agree that you can’t find love before you love yourself.
I’ve seen people with very low self-esteem, they have a distorted self-concept. I’m talking about the types that don’t see how great they are. They view themselves with impaired self-concept which interferes with there progrss in life— the kind you want to love and hold and fix. I know, that’s not helpful and “no one needs fixing” so it is said—I needed fixing and I find no shame in it.
My point is, it’s okay to see that person who might need help emotionally, or even physically and not find the difficulties a deterrent! Love is love. People with low self-esteem might have suffered bad relationships due to their immature state of how to fight their way out of abuse. Or the types that have no clue how amazing they are, but when they meet the right person, love can build bridges that make both stronger and better people as they fall in love.
If we wait until we are perfect or until we totally love ourselves, we might wait forever!
I know a woman who fell in love with a man who had lost everything in his life and financially was broke, he was alienated from his only child, and on top of it, he was arrogant. Absolutely he was not a good dating resume. But she saw the man—good and kind when no one else did. She was a doctor with a promising future and the whole world told her, he wasn’t good enough. Turns out the world was wrong, love is not what a person has, or his past mistakes, it is who they are inside. And the love these two had, built bridges to an amazing life.
Researchers theorize that our dreams enable us to cope with life experiences, and our bodies hold those memories from our past experiences. Which is a huge result of poor self-esteem, lack of love, or feeling capable of making the right choices in love. But when we meet the right person, sometimes trauma, anxiety, depression, poor self-expression even, can be resolved through love when we release these memories with this person.
I’ve seen and experienced this myself. A single thought, a book, a talk, a walk in the park, and an encounter with a skunk might just be the spark that changes the behavior that has held you back from love, life, and happiness. So, find peace in everything, look for answers in the weirdest places, and you just might find exactly what you’re looking for.

I am more than I think…
I love you with a blessing that falls upon me.
To love is also admitting my ability.
Loving is a spiritually based attitude towards myself.
When I can love someone. Truly love them, I hold intrinsic value as a human being.
To love is to give respect, time, and energy. So, to love, I am more than I think.
The pressures to understand love and control that one thing that stops you is not that simple, but so what! Who said the best part of life would fall in our lap? Who said our ridiculous problems would disolve after talking about them or writing them down. It’s a lot of work. There are no guarantees to stopping that one thing that keeps you from love. But there is no hope if you don’t try. And there is not logic in doing the same thigns over and over again. If what you have tried in the past doesn’t work, stop, and try something new.

Beautifully written. Definitely everyone can relate to one or the other lines penned here.
A wonderful definition of love, thank you dear Efrona. It’s really pity that we have almost lost love. I have once dared to write about love. I say “dared” because it is a very complicated issue.
Here I add a poem from Rumi, have a nice weekend ahead ❤🙏
“This is love: to fly toward a secret, to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment. …
Thank you kindly, indeed it is difficult to write about! Many don’t know this but science reveals that dealing with a broken heart, the emotional aftermath of pain neurologically mimics that of drug withdrawal of heroin. And likewise falling in love is neurological as well! Oh, but we need to love equally to life! (: Have a super weekend.. Efrona

You reminded me of one of my post “There is no such thing as beautiful as painful as love” and your post supports the quote perfectly well. I love your thoughts and indeed the honesty of views mentioned in each article.
I enjoyed reading this and would like to read more from your pen.
